Small group adventure specialist, Imaginative Traveller and its sister company, Dragoman, the world's leading overland adventure company, have created a new division, Imaginative Adventures, specialising in quality, unusual and exciting bespoke itineraries around the world.
Imaginative Adventures offers sample itineraries (although, with tailor-made travel, the possibilities are endless) to over 42 countries in Central, South East Asia and the Far East, India and the Sub Continent, South and Central America, East and Southern Africa, North Africa and the Middle East and Europe. Destinations include well-loved favourites such as Morocco, India and Thailand as well as more unusual places like Oman, Ethiopia, Burma and Georgia.
Trip types include 'Active', 'Historical', 'Honeymoon' and 'Wildlife' and, depending on the destination and itinerary, are accompanied by a driver and the services of specialist local, English speaking guides. Travellers can also choose between character-ful guesthouses and homestays, mid-range guesthouses and hotels and luxury accommodation.
Imaginative Adventures has also created a page on seasonal suggestions, advising customers on the best places to travel during each month of the calendar year.
"Tailor-made travel is one of the fastest growing trends in the travel market," says Jim O'Brien, Head of Operations, who, with over 15 years travel industry experience and having visited and lead trips in 92 countries is ideally placed to head up the new division. "Travellers are now much more confident and internet savvy about where they want to go and what they want to do. Whilst we can offer recommendations as to what can be included in each destination, Imaginative Adventures provides that bridge between an informed customer and our 50 plus years of specialist, on-the-ground-knowledge to create a package that's tailor-made to each party's specific requirements," he says.
"The creation of Imaginative Adventures marks a significant broadening of our travel offering," continues Jim.
