If Music Be the Food of love...combine a Musical Extravaganza With Gastronomic Delights in Trondheim This Spring

The vibrant city of Trondheim in central Norway bursts into life in the Spring months, and 2022 is expected to be livelier than ever. Visitors heading to Norway's third largest city this May can enjoy the city's biggest ever annual Jazz Festival, featuring artists from around the globe. That's not the only reason to celebrate - Trondheim (and the surrounding region of Trondelag) has been awarded European Region of Gastronomy for 2022 so while there, you can not only enjoy world class music, but indulge in culinary delights at venues around the city.

JazzFest runs from 10th to 15th May and highlights include jazz musician Kyle Eastwood, (son of actor Clint) who will be performing movie theme tunes and renowned saxophonist Jan Garbarek. More international artists will be announced shortly.

Trondheim has become a hot spot for food lovers from around the world and it is not hard to see why. The region is known to have some of the best food producers in Norway and  the city is packed full of restaurants that focus on traditional dishes with a modern twist, using locally produced ingredients.  Boasting the three most northerly Michelin starred restaurants in the world, it is the perfect destination for foodies.
