Tamarack Resort, America�s newest, all-season destination resort, has announced a grand opening date of Dec. 15, 2004, and outlined an array of winter recreation opportunities and ski-in, ski-out lodging available to Tamarack visitors this winter season. � Ski and snowboard enthusiasts will have access to 25 downhill runs via five lifts, including the Tamarack Express and Summit Express � both high-speed detachable quads � which will carry skiers and riders to Tamarack�s 7,700-foot summit and provide a continuous 2,800-vertical-foot descent to the base area.� The mix of terrain is suited for all skiers, boarders and families of varying abilities, as Tamarack offers what is considered in the industry a perfect mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs.� And, for the freestylist, Tamarack features a 500-foot super pipe and terrain park, complete with jib yard � among the first in the Pacific Northwest.� � For the Nordic and back-country skier, Tamarack offers a full-service Nordic ski park, complete with 30 km of ski trails, 10 km of groomed snowshoe trails and hundreds of acres of back-country skiing.� Nordic ski clinics and other Nordic special events are planned throughout the 2004-05 winter season. � While the tradition-inspired, mixed-use Tamarack Village is starting to take shape with construction of the lodge, the Discovery Square at Tamarack will provide all of the winter recreation services needed at a luxury mountain resort.� The Discovery Square features professional concierge services, three restaurants and an apr�s ski pub, a specialty market and deli, a full-service ski and ride school, equipment rentals, club services, ski patrol, a children�s center, and emergency medical services.� The Discovery Square is built with sprung technology, allowing erection of all services in one summer and smooth transition to the permanent buildings as they become available. � � Tamarack Season Passes and Lift Ticket Prices Resort officials launched a preseason, season-pass sale, offering a full slate of season pass discounts including a $450 season pass to Idaho residents through Dec. 15.� Tamarack also is offering $350 season passes to season pass holders at Bogus Basin and Brundage Mountain resorts.� � For more information or to order tickets/season passes in advance, please call 208-325-1000 /� www.tamarackidaho.com
