ibis, the international hotel brand of Accor and the worldwide reference in the economy sector, has opened its doors in Bengaluru with the launch of first ibis in the city. When Ibis Bengaluru Techpark is opened in Mid September, it will become the 100th ibis to open in the Asia Pacific region and fourth to open in India. The first ibis launched in India in 2008, ibis Gurgaon, which is already a market leader in its segment followed by the ibis Pune which opened in 2009 and ibis Mumbai Airport in early 2011.

On a regional basis, the ibis brand will debut in Vietnam and Laos by 2012 and will add 9 more ibis hotels to the Asia Pacific network before the end of this year. Forthcoming openings include the 550 room ibis Hong Kong Central West and the 600 room ibis Bandung Supermal both in 2012, and which will represent the two largest ibis in Asia Pacific respectively.
