Hyatt Regency Sydney, Australia's largest upscale hotel, was recognised as Outstanding Meetings and Conferencing Property at the 2017 Hotel Management Awards (HMA) on Friday night in Sydney.
Following a spectacular $250 million transformation that was unveiled at the end of last year, the hotel has gained a reputation for its unparalleled function capabilities, including more than 3,700 square meters of sleek meeting and event space.
Malcolm Zancanaro, Hyatt Regency Sydney General Manager said he was extremely proud to accept this award on behalf of his hard-working and dedicated team.
“It's a wonderful achievement in our first year of operations as Hyatt Regency Sydney to receive such a coveted award,” he said.
“The meetings and conference market is extremely important to our hotel, so we're committed to deliver a world-class product.
“This award is testament to the fact that in addition to our stunning facilities, the level of service we provide is equally as impressive,” Mr Zancanaro said.
Located in the heart of the Central Business District, the event space at Hyatt Regency Sydney includes two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour, as well as 21 additional meeting or breakout rooms. The versatility allows for a wide range of business meetings and events to be accommodated with ease, with specialised staff covering every detail from catering to audiovisual needs.
