Canberra's finest and most awarded five-star hotel, Hyatt Hotel Canberra - A Park Hyatt Hotel, was recognised for its outstanding contribution to the hospitality industry at the recent AHA, ACT Division annual awards dinner.

Mr. Mikael Svensson, general manager of the hotel, said: "Our commitment to true and authentic service, passion for what we do and great teamwork has once again been recognized through these accolades. A special congratulation goes out to Amanda Polsen and Maureen Ocampo for taking home Best Apprentice Chef and Best Front of House Employee respectively".

Other awards won were for Best Restaurant in a Hotel, the Promenade Cafe and Best Deluxe Hotel. A special award received from the Centenary of Canberra and presented by its art director Robyn Archer was for 'meals till midnight' in recognition for the hotel's support of the Centenary of Canberra with the availability of late dining in the hotel.
