Budding treasure hunters are invited to uncover dramatic tales of sunken vessels during February Half Term at the Shipwreck Treasure Museum (15th – 23rd February).

Using the treasure trail search high and low through the cabinets of curiosities and discover long-forgotten secrets of wrecks from the past century. Will you find the lost ships lying beneath the waves?

Throughout February Half Term visitors will be able to explore the cases throughout the museum finding riches dating from ancient Egypt and the Roman period and learn stories of how their ships' captains succumbed to the currents that sealed their fate.

The Shipwreck Treasure Museum is also home to the world's only fully intact barrel of coins ever recovered from a wreck. See the copper cargo and discover how divers retrieved it from the depths of the English Channel.

Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Charlestown, the Shipwreck Treasure Museum is home to one of Europe's largest collections of shipwreck treasures with over 8,000 artefacts in their collection, including the only intact barrel of coins ever recovered from the seabed.
