The Globe Theatre performs Hamlet on Margaret Island Open-air Stage 21st June 2014
To celebrate the 450th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth the London Globe Theatre is going on an epic international tour and will perform Hamlet in every country around the world over the next two years. The production in Hungary will take place on Margaret Island in Budapest on 21st June 2014 – offering a fantastic opportunity to combine a city break with seeing one of the world's top theatre companies perform Hamlet.
Hamlet is one of Shakespeare's most often performed and best-known dramas. The fusion of political intrigue, philosophical meditation, sexual obsession, tragic depth and wild humour, the "unlimited poetry", makes it the most complete expression of Shakespeare's genius.
