“Busójárás” Spring-Rites Festival
27th February.–4th March 2014 - Mohács: Pannonia
An event called “busójárás”, which has been part of the UNESCO intellectual world heritage since 2009, takes place in Mohács where various groups enter the central square through the main street at the bang of the busó cannon and a street carnival begins. The people of Mohács celebrate the carnival also on the Tuesday of the carnival week saying good-bye to the cold season by lighting and dancing around a bonfire placed at the main square where they burn a coffin, symbolizing the winter.

Hollókő Easter Festival
19th -21st April 2014 - Hollókő: Eger-Tokaj Wine Region
Since 1987, Hollókő has been part of the UNESCO world heritage. The revival of Palóc folk traditions, the village life of past times is demonstrated together with Easter folk customs. One can try painting eggs, jiggering and many other handcrafts. Easter can certainly not pass without the tradition of sprinkling of the girls by the boys from buckets of water.

Herdsmen’s Festival – National Herdsmen’s Competition and Meeting

Each year on Pentecost Saturday, herdsmen of grey cattle and arriving from various corners of the country gather in the Animal Park of Puszta to compete with each other and to show off their festive outfits. Visitors can satisfy their appetite with meals prepared at the cookery contest (goulash, mangalica stew) and buy gifts from the region’s craftsmen.

European ADRENALIN dragbike championship
May-June 2014 – Kiskunmadaras: The Puszta and Lake Tisza
The best and fastest cars and motorbikes ever built in Europe will boom and rumble in Kunmadaras again. Bikes of 1,200 and cars of 8,000 horse power arrive from each and every European country in order to fight a huge battle with one another and the Hungarian racers. The Cepsa Cup Hungarian Championship will also take place this weekend , and besides the drag race of the fantastic bikes and cars the very best of the Hungarian stunt bikers will also be there at the Shox Grand Prix.

Etyek Cellar Festival

International Harley-Davidson Festival

Hungarian Dance Festival

Blue ribbon regatta
11th-13th July 2014 • Balatonfüred: Lake Balaton
The “Kékszalag” contest is the oldest among the regattas around Lake Balaton, the first contest having been organized in 1934. The 160 km route goes through the following places: Balatonfüred – Balatonkenese - Tihany – Keszthely – Balatonfüred. 300 to 350 boats participate in the contest with 1400 to 1700 sailors. The boats will line up at the start line in front of the viewers.

Hungarian Formula 1TM Grand Prix

After minor modifications, in 2003. the track has acquired its current form, the length of which is 4,381 meters.
