Sydney –After six years performing Human Nature: The Motown Show on the Las Vegas Strip, critically acclaimed Australian vocal group, Human Nature, are considered locals in their adopted home state of Nevada. Now, the four boys from Oz are taking viewers on an exclusive insider's tour of their home –away-from-home in a special Getaway episode, premiering on Channel Nine on Saturday 18 April.
In a jam packed, week-long filming schedule, the boys visited some of their favourite destinations in Southern Nevada. Andrew Tierney takes viewers shopping in Las Vegas, and races his brother Mike abseiling down a sheer 50 metre cliff face in the spectacular Valley of Fire; Toby Allen shows off one of his favourite local haunts, Fremont Street, where you can see the original neon signs from the early days of Las Vegas; and the whole group enjoy cruising on a houseboat on the azure waters of Lake Mead.
Human Nature's Phil Burton said the boys love exploring Nevada during their time off.
“You know Las Vegas is full of glitz and glamour, but if you want to experience something truly spectacular, here's my advice - get out of town!” he said.
Chris Moran, Public Relations Specialist, Travel Nevada, was on the road with Human Nature and the crew during filming and said “These guys are exceptionally talented singers —but they're also funny and charming. Whether they were rappelling down a cliff at Valley of Fire State Park or hauling gear for the zipline in Boulder City, they kept us laughing. After long days of filming, these guys would take off for the Venetian, where they would perform their Motown Show flawlessly. Such incredible talent and professionalism!”
The Getaway special episode will air on Channel Nine on Saturday 18 April at 5.30pm.
The episode airs just before the group return to Australia for their national JUKEBOX Tour: A 25 Year Anniversary Celebration kicking off in Melbourne on Thursday, 23 April.
