Earlier today Winston Peters, leader of the New Zealand First political party stated that Huka Lodge, had been sold to Chinese interests.

Huka Lodge has been under same ownership since it was purchased in 1984, by the current owner Alex van Heeren. There is no intention either now or in the immediate future to sell Huka Lodge.

The comments made today by Winston Peters are not correct and this internationally acclaimed New Zealand retreat remains in the hands of its current owner.
