GRAND CANYON WEST, AZ. Grand Canyon West and the Grand Canyon Resort Corporation will mark its 28th anniversary as a successful and stillgrowing business entity on Saturday, April 23, 2016, with a mix of invited guests from the Hualapai Nation and Mohave County – all invited to come celebrate with free admission to tribal lands and free shuttle transportation to the three Canyon viewpoints that day.

“Grand Canyon West would like to thank the Hualapai Tribe and local community members for their support,” said Ray Martinez, the general manager of Grand Canyon West. “We're very much looking forward to an anniversary celebration that puts smiles on the faces of the Peach Springs Community, our employees and their guests and Mohave County residents and their families.”

The Grand Canyon Resort Corporation – established in 1988 and wholly owned by the Hualapai Tribe – operates Grand Canyon West, the Grand Canyon Skywalk, Hualapai River Runners, the Hualapai Ranch, Walapai Market and Hualapai Lodge. The company's tourism experiences have provided jobs and revenue for the Tribe and the surrounding region since the Tribe decided to open its lands to the public 28 years ago. In 2015, Grand Canyon West venues attracted more than 1 million annual visitors, marking an attendance record and the first time Hualapai Tourism surpassed the millionvisitor mark in a single year.
