About Howard Park

Howard Park is one of Western Australia's pioneering family-owned wineries, specialising in the state's premier grape-growing regions of Margaret River and the Great Southern. Encompassing a 30-year history and overseen by two generations of the Burch family, Howard Park has vineyards in both regions, as well as a winery and an architecturally awarded Cellar Door in Margaret River. Since its inception in 1986, Howard Park's philosophy has centred on an uncompromising commitment to quality and a focus on crafting wines that are expressive of the region's terroir.

Howard Park has long been inspired by the world of ballet thanks to its family roots, most specifically the careers of David Burch and Lesley Scogna, both the siblings of owner Jeff Burch. The entire Jeté sparkling range is an ode to their history as professional dancers.

David Burch had a long and illustrious career in ballet, working as a Principal Dancer with The Australian Ballet from 1977 – 1983. His sister Lesley worked with West Australian Ballet from 1972 – 1977. After their dance careers, both David and Lesley found passion within the wine business with the former working as the long-serving Vineyard Manager of the Leston property (now semi-retired), and the latter as a Brand and Sales Ambassador.

The impeccable Wine Chapel space features a private wine tasting and dining room with uninterrupted views over the Leston Vineyard to Wilyabrup Creek; a temperature-controlled wine cellar with rare examples from the Howard Park museum; a Champagne lounge; foyer with wine magnum display; helicopter landing pad and a panoramic outdoor terrace. Surrounded by manicured gardens and tall marri and jarrah forest, heritage vines lie right on the doorstep, commanding impressive views beyond over the Wilyabrup valley.
