OAKHURST, CA, MARCH 20, 2020 - When the going gets tough, the tough come together. With new ways to appreciate the things we love. Like drinking wine. Although, the tasting room at Idle Hour Winery is temporarily closed for anything except bottle pick-ups and deliveries, fear not, Friday night with the gang at Idle Hour Winery is still on. Virtually, that is.
The winemaker is taking to Instagram this Friday at 6 p.m. to open up a bottle (or two) of some cheerful reds and whites. If you're a wine club member, follow along with your own library. If not, grab a bottle of something you have on hand (we are sure you have stocked up, along with toilet paper!), make yourself a lovely appetizer, then relax with Anna as she has some fun chatting wine and raising a glass.
“We wanted a way to stay in touch with our community, patrons, and dear friends.” Mused the winemaker and owner of Idle Hour Winery, Anna Marie Remedios. “Friday night is typically our biggest night of the week in the wine bar, but for now we have to temporarily rethink our way of life during this time of social distancing. This is a way to still have a good time with our friends.”
For many, this week has been a week of firsts. First time working from home. First time homeschooling the children (oh boy!). First time making major changes in the way we interact. By Friday we shall all have earned a glass of vino with a local favorite face. Tune in LIVE on Instagram @idlehourwine at 6 p.m. this Friday, March 20, to raise a glass and one's spirits.
Communities coming together with innovative ideas during temporary setbacks is what people do best. Join in the fun by ordering a bottle of wine for delivery, then tune in, relax and enjoy!
