The Luxury Travel Bible has published its annual ‘Hot New Hotels' list. The list has become an eagerly awaited yearly guide for luxury travellers who like to check in before the in-crowd.
‘I think our list has become so popular because we don't always go for the main stream choices, we also find boutique offerings and hidden gems that appeal to adventurous luxury travellers", says Sarah Bryans, The Luxury Travel Bible's features editor.
"The selection process was tough because there are a lot of great hotels opening this year and our editors around the world debated the choices fiercely" says Bryans. "We could have easily made it a Top Twenty instead of a Top Ten - maybe next year we will."
"We have some very sophisticated and discerning readers so no doubt they'll have plenty of comments when the list is released too. Last year our Twitter feed ran hot", adds Bryans. The Luxury Travel Bible welcomes further hotel suggestions.
Nominations (in no particular order) include:
- A property perched on a rugged cliff top in Oman.
- A hotel with the Europe's highest bar
- An island paradise
- Miami's coolest new addition
- A New York icon restored
- A futurist mountain retreat

The Hot New Hotels of 2014 list is found in The Luxury Travel Bible's January E-mag. Out now. TLTB have dubbed 2014 'The Year of Unexpected Luxury' because the trend is for finding luxury in out of the way places, so the edition also included an article on three new and surprising destinations.
