Drink Well with others:  Hotel Lucia Celebrates the Sacred Art of Craft Beer with In-Room Growlers and Beeritual menu
Hotel pairs in-room growlers with new pizza and craft beer room service from The Crown.

September 13, 2017 – Portland, Ore. – Embracing Portland's beer obsession – one that has earned the city the nickname, Beervana – Hotel Lucia is elevating its offerings for travelers making the pilgrimage to America's craft beer mecca with a locally-inspired Beeritual Menu and in-room growler program. The hotel has outfitted every guestroom with a 32-ounce growler emblazoned with the motto: Drink Well With Others. More than just a memento of their visit, guests take these growlers to be filled at breweries around town or order a pour with their room service order from The Crown – James Beard Award-winner Vitaly Paley's new joint just off Hotel Lucia's lobby where New York-style pies are in the oven and craft beer and cocktails are on tap.

Empty growlers, available at a cost of $6 from the hotel's honor bar, are the perfect complement to Hotel Lucia's new Beeritual Menu which serves as a spiritual and practical guide to the city's craft beer scene. A nod to Hotel Lucia's signature Spiritual Menu from which guests can borrow their book of faith, the Beeritual Menu features a six-pack of beer-centric books by acclaimed Portland authors that guests can browse through and borrow at no charge during their visit. Titles include: “Oregon Breweries” by Brian Yaeger, “Craft Beers of the Pacific Northwest” by Lisa Morison, “My Beer Year” by Lucy Birmingham, “Portland Beer Stories” by Steven Shomler, “Hop in the Saddle” by Lucy Burningham and Ellee Thalheimer and “The Beer Bible” by Jeff Alworth.

Travelers who'd prefer to have a beer (or two) in bed can order from Hotel Lucia's new craft beer and pizza room service menu. The menu is courtesy of Chef Paley's new restaurant, The Crown, which opened in June to rave reviews. When guests order room service they can get a growler filled and delivered to their guestroom with their choice of Heater Allen Pilsner or Sunriver Rippin Pale Ale for $17. Guests can also order classic or signature pies from The Crown like the Imperial featuring fried chicken, pickles, ranch, honey and hot sauce; Side Chick, with cherry tomatoes, arugula, pesto and stracciatella; Magic Mushroom with sliced mushrooms; or Meat Your Maker loaded up with sausage, salami, pepperoni, onion, pepper and olive can be ordered in 12” or 18” sizes with prices ranging from $12 to $26. Small bites including the Caesar salad ($7), Imperial Fried Chicken bites ($5), spicy bar nuts ($3) and marinated olives ($4) can also be ordered off The Crown's room service menu.

The Beeritual Menu, in-room growlers and room service from The Crown are the newest suds-inspired offerings at Hotel Lucia, accompanying the hotel's daily complimentary craft beer hour pouring pints of the region's most compelling craft beers for guests every evening from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Details on Hotel Lucia's craft beer hour can be found at www.hotellucia.com/craft-beer.
