How-to-Programs Offered for Young Hotel and Non-Guests Alike
Dorchester Collection's Hotel Bel-Air announces the launch of Junior Chef Cooking Classes, just in time for summer holidays. Executive chef Hugo Bolanos and his expert team will instruct children from four years of age in the kitchens of Wolfgang Puck at Hotel Bel-Air, the basics of culinary arts at fun and interactive 60-minute classes.
The Junior Chef Classes are conducted in an entertaining and informative format designed to engage young guests. They may be organized for small groups of two or more, or as a unique party event to celebrate special occasions. During the workshop, children will learn how to make delicious and simple dishes, using fresh and locally-sourced produce. Young chefs will be able to choose a savoury and sweet course from the following offerings:
How to Make Pasta from Scratch
Tortelloni, Fettucini or Bowtie Pasta will be transformed into favourite pasta dishes by learning the “tricks of the trade.”
The Perfect Pizza Pie
Seasonal ingredients are utilized to create tasty pizzas throughout the year while cultivating healthy habits.
Sweet Tooth: Cookies and Cream
The pastry team will take baking to a whole new level with this cool ice cream making and Swan cookie baking class.
Cupcakes and Mini Strawberry Shortcakes
This sweet sensation includes baking delicious cupcakes and shortcakes with a dash of creativity and fun.
All attendees will be able to sample their culinary creations, enjoy a tour of the kitchen, and depart with signed chef's hats, aprons and recipes of the items they prepared.
The Junior Chef Cooking Class is priced at $75 (approx. £44) per children, and offered from two to eight children maximum. Two parents/guardians (maximum) must accompany groups of four or more children*. Classes must be booked 48 hours in advance, subject to availability, and include a 24-hour cancellation policy.
