Three Valley Tasting Adventure
Sonoma County's new Three Valley Tasting Adventure — through the Russian River, Dry Creek, and Alexander valleys — has been artfully crafted by top wine pros to provide an unforgettable day of meandering three of the region's most diverse tasting experiences.
The itinerary includes Gary Farrrell in the Russian River Valley with a special flight of current and library releases. Then head to Dry Creek Valley for a winery and farm tour, followed by a tasting and lunch at DaVero. The day wraps up at Lancaster Estate in the Alexander Valley, with an estate tour and hillside cave tasting.
The beauty of Sonoma County's new Three Valley Tasting Adventure is its simplicity. Make one reservation and all you have to do is stick to a thoughtful schedule that moves you from one winery to another. That said, do bring along a designated driver or take advantage of one of several reliable limo services in the region. Pours are not excessive, but generous and hosts are gracious. This package is terrific for pairs and small groups of up to six people, eight maximum.
Make a credit card reservation for your Three Valley Adventure by contacting any one of the three participating wineries 48 hours in advance. Non-wine club member pricing totals $175 per person with a discount for wine club members of any one of the three wineries.

New Brand Turns Sonoma Raceway Banners into Fashion Accessories
Advertising banners that once graced the Sonoma Raceway in the Sonoma Valley are finding new life as bright and colorful messenger bags, duffel bags, laptop sleeves, and other items thanks to the new Sonoma-USA fashion line.
Based in Santa Rosa, in central Sonoma County, Sonoma-USA offers unique and purposeful products made with materials diverted from the local landfill.
For its first products, the company partnered with the Sonoma Raceway motorsports complex, recycling about 2,000 pounds of out-of-date advertising banner material into fun and trendy bags. Some have race-inspired motifs, but others simply offer bright splashes of color and style.
Future products could be made from other raceway materials, such as flags, ropes, tents, or even drivers' racing outfits, and Sonoma-USA hopes to team up with other local businesses to keep scrap or overstock fabrics out of the landfill by repurposing them as stylish fashion accessories.
