Hong Kong Chinese New Year
22 January – 12 February 2017
Celebrate the new lunar year with floating parades, spectacular fireworks display over the harbour and themed attractions. The city is buzzing with crowded temples to pray for good fortune, auspicious foods at markets and the festive decorations around town.

Hong Kong's flourishing arts scene comes to fruition with an inspirational spectrum of events from various performing arts. The three anchor events spread throughout the city include The 45th Hong Kong Arts Festival, Art Central and Art Basel.


Hong Kong Rugby Sevens
7-9 April 2017
The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens has grown into one of the biggest rugby events on the international sporting calendar with teams from the world's top rugby nations competing in front of 40,000 spectators at Hong Kong Stadium.

During spring, join the festivities as locals commemorate the birthdays of Tin Hau, Buddha and Tam King and cheer on competitors as they scramble up a tower of buns at the Cheung Chau Bun Festival.

The Hong Kong Dragon Boat Carnival draws hundreds of thousands of revellers and spectators cheering on teams racing on the stunning Victoria Harbour.


Hong Kong Cyclothon

Hong Kong Cyclothon combines a mixture of amateur and professional races and rides. The two-day event allows locals and visitors to cheer on competitive cyclists from around the world and kick back at a fun-filled carnival.
