Hone Your Soccer Skills at a Holiday Resort Fit for Messi and Diaz

Casa De Campo

Barcelona football player Lionel Messi and his family have been spotted relaxing at the luxurious Casa de Campo resort in the Dominican Republic this week.

The family have been treating their instagram followers to a glimpse of their stay at the idyllic resort including images of them enjoying the pool at their luxury villa and hanging out on one of the resort's white sandy beaches.

Casa de Campo is clearly a winner with elite football players as Real Madrid's Mariano Diaz has also stayed at the resort in recent weeks.

Diaz should feel particularly at home at the resort which features a Real Madrid Soccer school. Young visitors to the resort can hone their skills on a FIFA sized football pitch with coaches from the Real Madrid Foundation.

You don't however need a premier division sized budget to stay at the 7,000 acre tropical resort. British Airways Holidays (www.ba.com) are currently offering seven nights on all-inclusive basis for a family of four staying in a Superior Casitas room from £1,307 per person. The price includes return flights departing from Gatwick on 5 April 2022.

The Soccer School training sessions are bookable direct with the resort (www.casadecampo.com.do) costing US $625 (around £475) for five daily sessions plus Real Madrid Football Kit, backpack and water bottle.

Prices are correct at time of issue and subject to availability.

About Casa de Campo Resort and Villas:

Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, spans 7,000 tropical acres on the southeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Its facilities include a 370-slip Marina & Yacht Club, Polo & Equestrian Club and tennis centre with 13 courts.

This luxury Caribbean destination is also home to three championship golf courses designed by Pete Dye, including Teeth of the Dog, the #1 ranked golf course in Latin America.

If golf isn't your scene, head to Altos de Chavón – modelled on a 16th century village and offering boutique shops, museums, art galleries and a 5,000-seat Grecian-style amphitheater inaugurated by Frank Sinatra in 1982. More recently the venue has hosted global superstars ranging from Andrea Bocelli and Julio Iglesias, to Sting, Jennifer Lopez, Elton John and David Guetta.

While on site you can relax on the sandy beach, go paddle-boarding, take a boat trip to a deserted island, kayak down the river, have a pottery lesson or relax in the spa.
