A holistic therapy known as CranioSacral Therapy is being offered now through 31 March at The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah in Ubud, Bali. CranioSacral Therapy at the luxury resort is being offered by Bali-based therapist Ann McDuffie, who is experienced in drawing upon various healing techniques, yoga, intuition and life experience to awaken the human potential.

The ability to manipulate subtle rhythms in the body using sensitive hands was discovered by osteopath Dr. William Sutherland over 100 years ago, who termed the body's inherent life force the "Breath of Life". The phenomenon is believed to heighten one's sense of physical, mental and spiritual well-being.

CranioSacral Therapy involves "listening" to the body's subtle rhythms by placing the hands at vital locations of the body, including the skull, to treat nagging health problems including headaches, neck and back pain, temporomandibular joint disorder, chronic fatigue, motor-coordination difficulties, eye problems, endogenous depression, hyperactivity, attention deficit disorder, central nervous system disorders and other conditions. This gentle, yet powerful alternative therapy has proven effective for all ages, including babies, children and the elderly.

Through 31 March, The Chedi Club Tanah Gajah is offering its CranioSacral Package exclusively to guests who book its luxury Spa Villas. In addition to separate living and bedroom areas, each of the 160-square metre, one-bedroom Spa Villas features its own private treatment suite - complete with two massage beds - in-villa sauna and plunge pool facilities, and a spacious semi-outdoor bathroom with large soaking tub and outdoor shower.
