HOUSTON, Texas – (November 2017) – Holiday magic and cheer are arriving soon at River Oaks District. From carriage rides to holiday shopping services, exclusive fashion illustrations and new holiday décor that will illuminate the District, Houston's premier luxury shopping destination has a lot to offer this holiday season.

For the first time, River Oaks Districts' very own in-house personal shopper and stylist, Lisa Powers, will offer complimentary holiday gift buying and personal shopping services via The Studio, the Districts new personal shopping space located next to iPic Theatre.

Based on the customer's specific holiday shopping goals, Lisa will spend anywhere from 30-minutes to a full day to help guests find the best holiday gifts for everyone on their list. The personal shopping gift buying services are offered at no cost with zero obligations to buy, and there is no minimum purchase required. Once a customer has given approval on an item, the gift will be wrapped and ready for pickup at The Studio or delivered right to the customers' doorstep. Lisa can also help customers find the perfect holiday attire– no matter the budget.

“The holidays are a hectic time of year for everyone, from gift buying and giving to finding the perfect outfit for holiday festivities,” said Jennifer Rivera, marketing manager for River Oaks District. “We want to make it easier for River Oaks District guests so they can enjoy what matters most during the holiday season, spending time with friends and loved ones.”

Other family-friendly holiday activities at River Oaks District will include:

• Horse Drawn Carriage Rides, 11/24-12/24: Complimentary rides aboard a beautiful, winter wonderland carriage drawn by an elegant white horse will begin on 11/24 and continue through to Christmas. Guests can use the carriage to visit the various stores, boutiques and restaurants throughout River Oaks District, or to enjoy the holiday lights and new decorations while sipping complimentary hot chocolate and sweet treats under the stars. Rides will take place Wednesdays from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday - Saturday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Sundays from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
• Holiday Nights and Lights Concert Series, 11/25-12/24: The Holiday Nights and Lights Concert Series will feature choir performances from some of the best schools in Houston, including Houston Christian High School, The Kinkaid School, The John Cooper School and more, beginning 11/25 every Wednesday and Saturday through 12/23. The choirs will perform a special selection of holiday favorites, such as Jingle Bells and Silent Night.
• Rongrong DeVoe Holiday Illustrations, The first three Saturdays of December, 12/2, 12/9 and 12/16: International fashion and beauty illustrator, Rongrong DeVoe will be on-site, in the center courtyard, at River Oaks District creating live sketches on product for customers looking to give a unique and customized gift to friends and loved ones. DeVoe's fashion illustrations have been commissioned by brands like Chanel, Dior and Neiman Marcus. Custom illustrations are complimentary with the purchase of any item at the District.

Out of area visitors to River Oaks District Houston are eligible to receive a Global Access Card, which entitles the visitor to special offers, amenities and experiences offered by participating retailers and restaurants. Luxe experiences include complimentary champagne, hotel package delivery, hotel room fittings, alterations, beauty consultations and personal stylist sessions.
