Coast & Country Cottages has created an exceptional video, designed to showcase South Devon and the wonderful scenery you can expect to find in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty during 2019. Featuring stunning drone footage, not to mention detailed shots of some of the area's most iconic places, the film provides a fantastic insight in to the beautiful towns and villages in the South Hams, all within a short drive, walk or boat trip of each other! The agency, which has offices in Salcombe and Dartmouth, has created a number of films in recent years, but this is the first to include extensive aerial footage of the region.

The inspirational two-minute film also includes some fascinating snippets of information about various places.  The footage is designed to encourage people to book their first South Devon holiday, and also to offer regular holidaymakers a reminder of why they need to arrange a repeat visit soon.

Coast & Country Cottages Marketing Manager Emily Mercer co-produced the video. She says 'It was a pleasure to create this video. One of the most special things about it, is that the footage features people genuinely either living or holidaying here in South Devon.

She continues 'We didn't need models or actors - the people you see were already enjoying everything this area had to offer… we just captured those special moments. In fact, purely by coincidence, the little boy enjoying a surfing lesson in the film happened to be staying in one of our Salcombe properties!'

The film, which was recorded during the 2018 summer months, includes footage taken in Salcombe, Bantham and Dartmouth, as well as shots of quieter locations like South Pool, Dittisham and Hallsands. The piece shows the breadth of scenery to be enjoyed during a holiday in South Devon.

Emily finishes, 'Our aim was to capture the essence of this wonderful area, which I think we did!'
