Legendary band delights audience at Cotai Arena Sunday night

                                                                

(Macao, Mar. 9, 2014) - The Rolling Stones rocked Macao with their first-ever concert at The Venetian® Macao's Cotai Arena Sunday night, the legendary band taking the stage in front of a sold-out audience of over 10,000 enthusiastic fans for a landmark event - THE ROLLING STONES 14 ON FIRE tour presented by Prudential Corporation Asia together with its asset management arm Eastspring Investments, marking a first not only for The Venetian Macao, but also for Macao as a whole.

THE ROLLING STONES 14 ON FIRE tour produced by Concerts West in Macao saw members Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood take the stage to overwhelming response, along with former member Mick Taylor who appeared as a special guest. Keen fans had waited long for the veteran band Sunday night, and the spectacular performance was well worth the wait. The high-energy concert kicked off with "Jumpin' Jack Flash," followed by "You Got Me Rocking" Some timeless tunes the audience was treated to included "It's Only Rock and Roll", "Wild Horses" and "Doom & Gloom"

 

A highlight of the eagerly-awaited evening included the fantastic stage design with the ubiquitous tongue and lips logo the Rolling Stones are famed for. The  'Tongue Pit' general admission area in front of the stage gave screaming fans an incomparable 360 degree concert experience.  Known for their ground-breaking sets and use of cutting-edge technology, the Stones' set design featured video screens and special effects that enhanced the high-octane experience of attending a live Stones show. Fans rocked, swayed and sang along as the Stones delivered a bevy of monster hits, enjoying the electric atmosphere created in the Cotai Arena by the energetic performance.

 

The Rolling Stones have been singing and touring for five decades, making them the longest running rock 'n' roll band in the history of modern music.

 

After rocking fans in Macao, THE ROLLING STONES 14 ON FIRE TOUR carries on, with another gig to take place at Sands Grand Ballroom at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
