From Monday 27 February, English Heritage�s holiday cottages will be available to book by calling 0870 333 1187. The supporting website � english-heritage.org.uk - will also be live from Monday 27th February, so historic holiday-seekers can get a sneak preview of these stunning properties. The accommodation is available for stays from 3 April, and will offer contemporary 21st century interiors within dramatic heritage environments.

Choose from: � The former residence of the Battery Sergeant Major of Dover Castle (sleeps 6) � Pavilion Cottage (sleeps four) in the grounds of Osborne House on the Isle of Wight � The Custodian�s House (sleeps 2), perching on the ramparts of Pendennis Castle in Falmouth � Fort House at St Mawes Castle (sleeps 4) � Abbey Cottage at Rievaulx Abbey in Yorkshire (sleeps 4) The cottages will be available for hire for long weekends (3 nights, Friday - Monday), week-long (7 nights), or mid-week breaks** (4 nights, Monday � Friday), from 3 April 2006. Prices start from �230 (approximately �58 per person) for a long weekend rental (three nights) of the Custodian�s cottage at St Mawes Castle in Cornwall, which sleeps four people*. [ENDS]
