LAKE PLACID, NY (June 5, 2015) – Lake Placid's historic hotel, the Northwoods Inn, is re-launching with a fresh brand, design-forward rooms and a new name: Hotel North Woods. A cocktail reception is slated for 6:30 – 9:30 pm, Friday June 12 at the hotel's 2520 Main Street location, and will be open to media and the public offering a sneak peek at the new renovations, as well as a chance to get the scoop on what's next for the Hotel.  

Chief among the independently owned Hotel North Woods' new features are 92 newly refurbished suites offering natural color palettes, organically influenced furnishings, and fiber-optic enabled WiFi.

To complement the hotel's new brand and momentum, an original series of packages and programming will be offered this summer, each providing unique, value-added travel amenities, and authentic experiences unlike any other hotel in the Adirondacks. From the hotel's Pre-Race Ironman Training and Course Familiarization Package for athletes participating in the July 26th race, to Outward Hound, a pet-friendly package catering to furry guests, the Hotel North Woods' owners are bringing fresh ideas to this historic hotel.
