• Hilton Worldwide announced that it has signed definitive agreements with CFLB Partnership LLC to open and operate a 290-room Conrad Fort Lauderdale Resort and Residences in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the first North American Resort and fifth Conrad Hotel in the United States. Currently undergoing a more than $34 million renovation and property enhancements, the 24-story oceanfront Conrad Fort Lauderdale has an anticipated opening in 2015.

• Perfectly placed in the historic downtown district of Savannah, Georgia, is the new Embassy Suites Savannah, which opened its doors to guests December 30th, just in time to ring in 2014.  The staff of the 150-suite hotel welcomed their first guests on December 30th to this beautiful old-world charm area in what is one of America's favorite cities, according to Travel & Leisure's 2013 survey and Conde Nast Traveler's Readers Choice awards.
• Location, location, location.  Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista is in the perfect location when it comes to everything Orlando, especially with rates starting at $99.00.  The hotel is steps away from Downtown Disney and is located within Walt Disney World Village and within minutes from premium outlet shopping and of course the parks.

• Walt Disney World Resort announced recently the popular Downtown Disney area will be transformed into Disney Springs over the next few years into a destination featuring more shopping, dining and entertainment with open-air promenades and springs all along the waterfront.  Construction is scheduled to begin in April 2013 with new areas opening in phases. Disney Springs is expected to be complete in 2016. 
• Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort has changed its roof top landscape by adding six wind turbines to the 25 story all-suite resort located across from the Atlantic Ocean on AIA in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 374-suite resort has been committed to saving energy since opening in 2007 and was the first hotel in Fort Lauderdale beach to be awarded a Florida green lodging designation.  Continuing the commitment of going above and beyond environmental regulations and voluntarily implementing hotel conservation programs, the hotel has installed six wind turbines that will help reduce energy consumption that will eventually provide a cost savings.

On the heels of the completion of the turbines, Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort has launched a new Sustainability Property Tour series that will serve to educate hotel guests and the local community about the property's trendsetting and innovative sustainability initiatives.

The Sustainability Property Tour at Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort will provide a behind the scenes look at the property's various sustainability efforts and initiatives, from the wind turbines—which generate enough power to light most of the public areas in the building year-round, to its recently installed composter that composts 900 pounds of food waste daily, down to the property's use of energy saving tinted windows, and more.
