Hilton Appoints Andre Borg as Country General Manager for Seychelles

Andre Borg, who has worked for Hilton for over 13 years at properties across the UAE, Romania and Turkey, and since 2016 has served as General Manager at Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa, has been appointed as the Country Manager for Hilton Seychelles. Andre was born in a hotel and has been involved in the hospitality industry ever since.  Hailing from Malta, Andre started his career as the Food & Beverage Manager in Malta before joining the Hilton team, serving as F&B Manager at Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort and Spa, UAE from 2008 - 2010.

Andre was then selected as Director of Operations of the 5* Athenee Palace Hilton in Bucharest, where throughout his four years' service he oversaw extensive renovations and repositioning of the property's F&B outlets.

In January 2014, he was appointed Hotel Manager at Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus, where he oversaw more than 302 permanent team members, several internal projects and developments, while also improving guest satisfaction. 

In 2016 Andre was appointed as General Manager for Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa. Under Andre Borg's tenure, Hilton Seychelles LaBriz Resort & Spa has moved from strength to strength, achieving strong commercial performances, overseeing several eco –friendly and sustainability initiatives for the resort, receiving a number of brand, local and international sustainability awards for the resorts environmental stewardship. 

Andre's strong focus on quality, excellent customer service and in-depth knowledge and experience of the Hilton brand will be a great asset in his role as Country Manager for Hilton Seychelles, where he will focus on special projects to expand the portfolio on the brand.
