Heritage Portfolio Signs Deal With Mount Stuart

Heritage Portfolio

Creative catering company, Heritage Portfolio has signed a five year exclusive contract with Mount Stuart, Isle of Bute.  The partnership will see Heritage Portfolio involved in special events including weddings within the house and grounds, as well as the provision of catering within the Courtyard tearoom and Visitor Centre restaurant.

The contract with Mount Stuart, an example of true Victorian splendour on the Isle of Bute, represents a major deal for Heritage Portfolio and an expansion of its operations within Scottish heritage properties. Offering a range of iconic interiors including the fabulous Marble Hall, Mount Stuart is a superb example of Gothic Victorian architecture and is a favourite venue for both weddings and corporate events. Heritage Portfolio will bring its renowned premium catering to the venue which already grows its own produce in the walled garden and works with food producers on the Isle of Bute.

Speaking about the Mount Stuart contract, executive director, Ian D'Annunzio Green, comments: “Over the last decade we have built a reputation for working within heritage properties as an exclusive partner delivering exceptional dinners, events and weddings, which has seen many of our long term relationships flourish. This major contract represents another superb property in which we will be making our mark and Heritage Portfolio relishes the opportunity to work with the team at Mount Stuart – one of Scotland's most remarkable properties.”

Connie Lovel, Chief Executive of Mount Stuart Trust comments “ Mount Stuart is one of the world's greatest historic houses presenting a most spectacular and inspirational location as a venue and popular visitor attraction.  Heritage Portfolio is an ideal partner for Mount Stuart in the provision of professional catering services for all our visitors – be they here for a special event or for a memorable day out.”

The entrepreneurial Edinburgh-based company, which joined the Centerplate group in January 2014, has become known for the quality of its outside event catering and operating café services at national art galleries and high profile visitor attractions. Heritage Portfolio has provided special event catering services at The Palace of Holyroodhouse since 2002, and last year was granted a Royal Warrant to Her Majesty the Queen as supplier of catering services.  Other premier clients now served by the company include: the Scottish National Portrait Gallery; the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art; The Signet Library; Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh; Hopetoun House and Musselburgh Racecourse.

Mount Stuart has a range of superb and flexible event spaces which caters for everything from a small team building day to a conference for 200. With 22 bedrooms, Mount Stuart can provide accommodation for up to 37 guests with further self catering accommodation within the 300 acres of landscaped gardens and grounds, making it the perfect venue for exclusive residential events and weddings.
