Leading specialist Helen Wong's Tours has this year clinched an historic deal which will see the wholesaler sell its comprehensive China program in New Zealand.
It's the first time Helen Wong's Tours has stretched the wings across the Tasman, a move made possible through the signing of an agreement with New Zealand retail giant House of Travel.
The signing is a landmark for two companies celebrating a 25th birthday.
"By having such an important partnership we will broaden our reputation beyond our traditional Australian market," said managing director and founder Helen Wong.
"It's an exciting move for us," she said, "and one we have been working on for some time," she said.
"Now we have a great opportunity showcase our comprehensive program to what is seen as a growing New Zealand market. We can work together to sell the best of China."
The exclusive partnership is seen as the icing on a cake for two companies celebrating special birthdays.
As is the case in Australia, the China brochure under the banner House of Travel will boast a series of quick response (QR) codes for Smart Phone owners so they
can watch "virtual tour" video coverage of major areas featured in the program.
Simply scan the codes in the brochure and you will be able to watch videos accompanied by music and commentary, at the tail of each a call for action phone number.
In agreeing to the new partnership, executives at House of Travel described Helen Wong's Tours as being one of the top operators in China, a reputation built on
its specialist approach, professional team and expert local guides.
"China has been a growing market in New Zealand over the past few years, and we are very excited to bring the wealth and expertise of Helen Wong's Tours to our New Zealand customers," summed up House of Travel.
