Heathrow Express, London's non-stop airport train service, is offering a number of Thanksgiving deals aimed at US travellers.
Visitors in or out of London can purchase one-way tickets for £15 compared to the usual rate of £21, and return trips for £29, down from £34, provided they book online seven days ahead of travel.
In a second offer, children under the age of 15 accompanied by an adult can travel free on the Heathrow Express. One paying adult can take up to two children.
Heathrow Express is the fastest way to travel between the airport and central London. Running every 15 minutes, it takes just 15 minutes from Paddington in central London to its station under Heathrow Airport's Terminals 1, 2 and 3. Terminals 4 and 5 take another six minutes.
Fraser Brown, commercial director of Heathrow Express, said: “Of the 10 million Americans who annually pass through Heathrow Airport, just one million a year use our premium train service. We want more.
"Americans tend to hail taxis when they arrive at an airport but as they head home for Thanksgiving this year, we're urging them to save time and money. We're the smarter way: three times quicker than a taxi between Heathrow and central London - and for a quarter of the price.”
The Thanksgiving offer - https://www.heathrowexpress.com/thanksgiving - comes after Heathrow Express introduced technology in August allowing US customers to pay for tickets in dollars. This also saves visitors any credit card fees and foreign exchange charges.
