MACAO - May 13, 2013 - Conrad Macao is launching a special vegetarian promotion from May 15 to 26 inclusive, tailoring contemporary dining to sophisticated diners by offering lighter dishes and organic options.

 

Conrad Macao has some exquisite vegetarian specialties on offer to close out spring and welcome summer at two of its restaurants: Dynasty 8 and Grand Orbit.

 

The 12-day vegetarian special promotes a healthful lifestyle with premium veggie options available with buffets, set menus and à la carte selections - "fresh" and "made to order" are the catchwords of the day with Conrad Macao's vegetarian promotion.

 

Dynasty 8

Inviting à la carte options among the old world China charm of Dynasty 8 include such delectable choices as: braised mixed mushrooms, fungus, bamboo pith, bean sprouts and sea moss; braised pumpkin soup with truffle and bird's nest; sautéed Kenyan beans with preserved olives, fungus and mushrooms; steamed jade melon with fungus and bamboo pith; and crispy-fried mushroom and eggplant with five spices and garlic pepper.

 

A set menu is priced at MOP 780* per person and features: marinated abalone mushroom and bitter melon in sour and spicy sauce; crispy-fried mushrooms, eggplant with five spices and garlic pepper; braised pumpkin soup with truffle and bird's nest; sautéed vegetarian "chicken" with morel and lily; sautéed Kenyan beans with preserved olives, fungus and mushrooms; braised bean curd sticks with potherb mustard and mushrooms; fried red rice with vegetarian chicken, truffle, sweet corn, dried turnip and pine nuts; Dynasty 8 sweet soup; and assorted fruit platter.

Grand Orbit

Grand Orbit's culinary journey around the globe is going organic for its vegetarian promotion: organic salads, organic pizzas, organic pastas and sauces, organic vegetables - you name it, it's organic.

 

Guests can watch a chef preparing dishes at a live Asian cooking station, and at the salad station, guests can choose from a wide array of fresh salad ingredients and request custom-made salads prepared before their very eyes.

 

Specialties include: grilled organic polenta cake with pepper ratatouille;

Asian spices with organic quinoa; and organic mushroom salad.
