There is so much going on in Margate this year, The Turner Contemporary, Dreamland, Spa's, Markets and Music and it happens to be the home of The UK's Biggest and Best Soul Festival.

The Margate Soul Festival happening on 5-7th August 2016 have just announced their first wave of International Live Acts who will be performing this year. Sister Sledge, feat Grammy Award Winning Kathy Sledge, Ce Ce Peniston, Jean Carn and Shirley Jones of The Jones Girls.

Margate Soul Festival is Kent's signature soul music event held in and around the picturesque harbour adjacent to the sands of Margate beach. It has become one of, if not the biggest Soul Festival the UK has to offer. Taking place annually on the first weekend of August, the event features over 50 DJ's playing more than 40 hours of music from Friday 2pm through to Monday 4am. It offers a unique combination of large scale outdoor live shows, family friendly street performances, DJ led carnival street parties and the most eclectic mix of after 8pm club life, spread across multiple venues.
