The Atlantic Hotel

With Jersey in the Channel Islands set to reopen travel links with the UK on 26th April, it's the perfect summer staycation to book now for immediate travel. The small, luxury Atlantic Hotel (www.theatlantichotel.com), set in a unique position on the island's west coast, is waiting to welcome guests with open arms.

This small island, just nine by five miles, offers the most exotic possible destination close to home thanks to the French influence, swaying palms and its boast of the most sunshine hours in Britain. Jersey has a beguiling mix of unspoilt beaches and coves and visitors are never more than 10 minutes from the coast. This is combined with a rich history and family-friendly attractions including Jersey Zoo. Embracing slow travel, the 45-mile network of 'Green Lanes' where pedestrians and cyclists have priority over cars, enables guests to explore the island's natural beauty at leisure. In fact, Jersey was named Europe's best walking destination by Condé Nast Traveller.

Now ready to welcome guests back, the family-owned Atlantic Hotel, which celebrated its 50th Anniversary in 2020, is one of the finest hotels on the island and commands breath-taking views over the five-mile golden stretch of St Ouen's Bay and the Jersey National Park. A longstanding member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this coastal escape is designed for guests to completely relax and unwind thanks to its award-winning service. Plunge into the outdoor pool and enjoy the view across the headland, or unwind in the hotel's Palm Club with its indoor pool. After months of home-cooking, the menus at the hotel's Ocean Restaurant are sure to tempt. From a daily changing market menu to the refined A La Carte offering, each is brimming with the freshest and finest local Jersey produce in dishes created by Executive Chef Will Holland. The seafood comes directly from the bay below the hotel - the amazing lobster and oysters are the freshest in Europe due to the island's tides - and the dairy and Jersey Royal potatoes from local farms.

Jersey is easily reached by ferry with Condor from Portsmouth or a fast service taking just under five hours from Poole, while regional flight schedules are also set to increase from 26th April onwards.

Stay at The Atlantic Hotel from £320 per room per night this summer, including breakfast. Free cancellation is available up to seven days prior to arrival on the flexible B&B rate. For guidance on travel to Jersey, visit https://www.jersey.com/visit-safe.
