Head off the beaten track to secure your beach holiday this year, suggests tripAbrood's latest Beach Barometer

tripAbrood has today released its latest Beach Barometer (see attached), an index which reveals the UK destinations with availability left during the summer holidays.

This week's Beach Barometer reveals that accommodation in Cornwall and North Wales is nearly full, and along the South Coast places are filling up. However, families still have plenty of options to choose from, with tripAbrood adding South Wales to its guide due to reasonable levels of availability, and Yorkshire & The Humber is also a good place to look, with great availability and lovely beaches within driving distance.

Alexa-Maria Rathbone Barker, Founder and CEO of tripAbrood:

“Looking at our Beach Barometer, it is clear to see that the majority of accommodation at the UK's top beach destinations is nearly full. To avoid disappointment, we strongly encourage families to look elsewhere and get creative with their beach holidays this year. Destinations such as Yorkshire might not be an obvious choice, but there are some amazing beaches within driving distance and some brilliant properties on offer, so it can still be a great summer holiday for all the family.”

tripAbrood's Beach Barometer uses data from tripAbrood's platform and will save families time by highlighting UK beach destinations which still have availability for family stays. This is the third instalment in this invaluable summer series, which tripAbrood will be updating each week, to help showcase available beach breaks and fantastic accommodation options.

How tripAbrood works

To book a stay in the above locations, families just need to visit tripabrood.com and start a conversation with Skye, the virtual travel agent, specifying the destination they would like to visit.

tripAbrood is a travel tech startup looking to make the process of researching and booking a family holiday as seamless as possible. tripAbrood launched its global accommodation booking platform in March 2021 and can cut the family holiday search and booking time from 30 hours to just 10 minutes with its highly personalised virtual travel assistant, Skye, which matches families to their perfect holiday. Skye uses a conversational interface to get to know key details about families and the type of property they require, and then provides several options for accommodation that best match the families' needs; this eliminates the endless scrolling and filters used by many other travel comparison sites. It has over 600,000 properties worldwide available on the platform, including nearly 31,000 in the UK. 86% of users who used tripAbrood during its testing phase said they would book with them.
