As 2020 approaches, the historic Strand Yangon has announced new promotions for the coming months, including special offers for Chinese New Year in January, Myanmar's Thingyan water festival in April and a 'Stay 3 Pay 2' package available from 1st January to the end of March 2020.

The first event in the calendar for January is the arrival of the Year of the Rat on 25th January 2020.  The Strand Yangon is celebrating by offering a special 20% discount on its best available rates for any suite booked for stays over the Chinese New Yearperiod from 1st-31st January 2020.  Rates include daily a la carte breakfast and signature butler service. Bookings must be made by 31st December 2019 and are payable at time of booking and non-refundable. Bookings are subject to availability and black out dates apply.  The Year of the Rat will be marked throughout Yangon over the Chinese New Year period.  Yangon's Chinatown is a 15-minute drive from The Strand Yangon and will be the centre of festivities. The day will begin with traditional lion and dragon dances, while the incense perfumed streets of Chinatown will be strung with red lanterns and brought alive by the sights of many revellers in traditional Mandarin Cheongsam dresses.

The treats will continue coming throughout the months of January, February and March 2020, when The Strand Yangon has a special 'Stay 3 Pay 2' offer available.  Guests booking a three-night stay will pay for only two, enjoying their third night for free.  Reservations must be made in advance and can be made from now until 31st March 2020 for stays from 1st January to 31st March 2020.  Rates include daily a la carte breakfast and the Strand's signature butler service, and apply to both single or double occupancy bookings.  Bookings are subject to availability and black out dates apply.
