Hawaiian Airlines today released its traffic statistics for April, showing the company enjoyed another strong month that helped produce the nation�s highest load factor through the first four months of the year.

For April, Hawaiian�s 84.6 percent load factor was second only to JetBlue at 86.3 percent, according to trade publication Aviation Daily. The rest of the top five were Northwest, 80.2 percent; United, 79.9 percent; and US Airways, 79.8 percent.

Hawaiian�s load factor for April represented a year-over-year increase of 5.6 percentage points compared to 79.0 percent in April 2003.

Over the first four months, Hawaiian�s 82.7 percent average load factor leads all carriers nationwide. Rounding out the top five were JetBlue, 81.6 percent; Northwest, 77.4 percent; Spirit, 77.1 percent; and United, 76.4 percent.

Hawaiian�s year-to-date load factor increased by 10.0 percentage points over the 72.7 percent reported for the same period in 2003.
