Hawaiian Airlines continued to lead the nation�s carriers at filling seats, posting the industry�s best marks for load factor in May at 84.8 percent, and through the first five months of the year at 83.1 percent.

Even more impressive, Hawaiian�s industry-leading load factor did not hamper its on-time performance. Hawaiian reported that 95.3 percent of its flights systemwide arrived on time* in May, highlighted by 15 100% on-time days for its 100-plus daily interisland flights.

�When it comes to punctuality, Hawaiian Airlines is as regular as clockwork,� noted Joshua Gotbaum, Trustee of Hawaiian Airlines.

In May, Hawaiian�s load factor increased by 10.5 percentage points versus 74.3 percent in May 2003. According to Aviation Daily, the nation�s top five airlines for load factor after Hawaiian were JetBlue, 81.8 percent; Northwest, 80.7 percent; United, 80.1 percent; and Air Wisconsin, 77.9 percent.

Hawaiian�s year-to-date load factor increased by 10.1 percentage points over the 73.0 percent reported for 2003. The rest of the top five were JetBlue, 81.6 percent; Northwest, 78.1 percent; United, 77.2 percent; and Spirit, 76.9 percent.

The company also showed strong year-over-year growth in revenue passenger miles (RPMs), jumping 17.3 percent in May and 20.5 percent through the first five months, reflecting its ongoing success at generating more revenue with operations.
