For a festive season like no other, come and check-in at Solis Lough Eske Castle for the holidays and enjoy more than a sprinkling of magical Irish charm, while you enjoy one of their Christmas and New Year packages.
This Christmas the five star castle pride of Donegal begins the festivities on 8th December when the hotel will host their official "Annual Switching on Ceremony." Once the stunning yuletide lights have clicked into action, a fun packed Children's Disco featuring a range of refreshments and held in the hotel ballroom, will begin. Finally to ice your festive cake, there is this year's Christmas Charity Drive, for which everyone attending the switching on ceremony is invited to contribute a food item for the Lion's Club, who assist disadvantaged children and families in Donegal, and try to ensure that they have as memorable a Christmas as possible.
But for those looking to live in the lap of luxury for a few days and dive head first into Christmas, there really is no better option than the Solis Lough Eske Castle Festive Package (24th-27th December). The package is a feast for the senses and amongst other delights this includes; a full Irish breakfast with daily buffet in Cedars Restaurant, one sumptuous three course dinner to be taken on Christmas Eve or St Stephen's Day in Cedars Restaurant plus yummy mulled wine and mince pies served on return from carol services on Christmas Eve. A Christmas Day Buffet Lunch will be served in the hotel ballroom and complete with a glass of sparkling wine, live entertainment, and finally some light hearted outdoor games and activities on St Stephens Day.
Finally couples wanting an even higher level of indulgence should pay a visit to the on-site Solis Spa, which features both a range of Aromatherapy Associates and organic Ogra Spa treatments so that you can totally envelope yourself in relaxation.
If we are honest though Christmas is really about family - especially the children and little guests will not be disappointed with the hotel's "Children's Package". In addition to three days' worth of festive meals, includes a Christmas Eve extravaganza, where the children can enjoy "fun-time" and play at being Santa's little helper both before and after dinner, they can also join in with some festive baking with the culinary team- and eat it too of course! On Christmas day they will receive a visit from the man himself; Santa Claus and then on both Christmas Eve and St Stephen's Day they can relax with full bellies and enjoy some festive movie time before heading outside for some fun games and activities.
Those less enamoured with Christmas who would like to ring in the New Year in style should come along for the "New Year Escape" package, this one or two night escape includes b&b deluxe room accommodation for two as well as entry to the New Year's Eve Gala Ball and brunch on New Year's Day.
Whatever your festive flavour there is plenty to quench your appetite this year at Solis Lough Eske Castle!
