To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Panama Canal specialist tour operator Journey Latin America has launched a special 8-day Panama Canal-inspired itinerary.
 

The holiday includes a full-day ocean-to-ocean transit of the canal, a train ride on the vintage-style Panama Canal Railroad train, a visit to San Lorenzo National Park for amazing wildlife opportunities, a visit to the Panama Canal expansion site and a visit to historic Portobelo town, a World Heritage Site.
 

The holiday offers four departures in 2014: 15 June, 13 July, 10 August and 14 December and costs from £2,399 per person. The price includes international flights, comfortable mid-range accommodation, transfers, breakfast and excursions.
