Harley Davidson Rally Roars Into Town

Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole Tourism

Saturday 24th September sees the return of the Harley Davidson Rally at Pier approach and this year, there are more participants than ever before! The estimated arrival of 600-800 bikers will rumble down Bath Hill, past the Square, along Exeter Road towards the Pier Approach at 12 Noon where they will enter Pier Approach next to Hot Rocks Cafe. The bikers will be led by the New Forest Hogs (Harley Davidson Owners Group) who will guide them around the town so they can show off their gleaming chrome and steel machines. At 1pm, a small number of Harleys will head down to the Town Hall to drive along side the Mayor in his official car as he heads down to the Pier. The Mayor will then have the difficult job of judging more than 300 tonnes of machinery worth in excess of 4.5 million in order to pick the best! Throughout the day, a band will be performing on stage, giving a real atmosphere of fun and excitement for all the bike lovers taking part, and all the bike loving onlookers! -ENDS- For more information please contact: Bournemouth Tourism Events Team 01202 41195
