Harbourside, InterContinental Hong Kong's popular all-day restaurant, is acclaimed for its elaborate international buffets. From September 12 – October 4, Harbourside welcomes Guest Chef Alexandros Economidis, from InterContinental Athens Athenaeum, who will be sharing his Greek specialty dishes at the nightly Dinner Buffet.
Enjoy an authentic taste of Greece with Octopus, Greek and Politiki Salads, Tzatziki, and Eggplant Dip (babagoanoush Greek style). Other Greek favourites will include Moussaka, Souvlakia, Pomodoro Tomatoes & Small Green Peppers stuffed with rice & herbs, Ntakos-Wheat Rusks with goat cheese, oregano and olive oil, Beef skewers with Oregano and Fresh Thyme, Pork Souvlaki; Spetzofai (sausage with peppers stew), as well as Lamb Chops with rosemary, plus a variety of other Greek specialties. For dessert, try Kataifi, Baklava and Walnut Pie.
Originally from Piraeus, Greece, Guest Chef Alexandros Economidis is the Sous Chef at InterContinental Athenaeum in Athens, where he has worked for 14 years. Over the years, he has organized and produced Greek food festivals in London, Istanbul and Malta and also has conducted training on Greek cuisine in Paris and Berlin.
In addition to the Greek specialities, Harbourside's Seafood & Sushi Dinner Buffet features fresh sushi and sashimi, as well as cold fresh seafood imported from around the world. Indulge in the US Lobster Mountain, Canadian Snow Crabs, French Brown Crabs, Australian Spanner Crabs, Canadian Scallops, New Zealand Mussels, Thai Shrimp and Taiwanese Abalone.
Guests can see our chefs in action as they make pan-fried Foie Gras and Tempura and select from Chinese, Pan-Asian, Indian, Western and Italian options, with a carving station showcasing fresh fish and beef. The Saturday Dinner Buffet also has a Peking Duck station.
The dessert buffet features a chocolate fountains, homemade desserts by Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis and his team, plus an ice cream sundae station, as well as made-to-order crepes and waffles.
