As part of its on-going CSR program, Hansar Samui joined with the local community at Nathon City to celebrate the Buddhist Festival called “Chak Phra Festival”, also provided them with the tents and Hansar drinking water to ensure there were convenience to all of the attendees who participated in the event during rainy time.
“Chak Phra Festival” (Pulling the Buddha) is annually held at the start of the eleventh lunar month which is usually either in October or November. The event symbolized the Buddha's return to earth after a monsoon season spent preaching to his mother in heaven.
The festival started in the morning with a lot of participants gathering with the parade of sleigh-like floating bearing Buddha images and colorful flags which were hauled across the village and streets.
Each month, Hansar Samui holds or supports a different event within the local community as part of its corporate social responsibility program.
