Hansar Samui has a strong CSR concept and philosophy, holding a number of events throughout the year to help the less fortunate. Hotel guests can participate and support localculture and people through customised community-based activities such as educational support and mentoring programs. Hansar Samui’s CSR projects are created at the grass-roots level of the community, enabling them to make a direct contribution to those in need.
The latest innovation of Indra Budiman, CEO of Hansar Hotels & Resorts, is to create a quarterly Charity Bazaar, selling produce from each harvest of the hotel’s organic garden and aquaponic fish farm, as well as combining with local partners with other services including food and providing entertainment to create a lively atmosphere.
The first Charity Bazaar will be held on Sunday 30th November 2013 from 11.00am to 4.00pm at the organic garden adjacent to the hotel. The Bazaar will have 15 booths for guests, locals and visitors to wander through and buy produce from the hotel’s latest organic farm harvest, or taste produce from local partners selling various Thai delicacies and favourites such as Som Tum (Thai green papaya salad), Pastries, Thai Desserts, Phad Thai and Seafood. Entertainment and games will be provided including a fortune teller, live music and a dance performance by local students.
For every THB1000 spent, shoppers will get one lucky draw ticket to enter the competition to win a complimentary one night stay at Hansar Samui.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to nearby schools to help the students.
