Hansar Samui introduces Memorandum of Understanding for Hospitality Training Program

Hansar Samui GM Indra Budiman has a strong personal commitment to CSR and supporting the community and the youth of today who are the leaders of tomorrow. The hotel's management and staff are also totally involved in a range of initiatives that include raising funds through guest donation programs and selling produce from the hotel's organic garden. These funds have been used to buy supplies to support local schools and children.

In away to support ASEAN Economic Community Program in education sector, Hansar Samui signed a Memorandum of Understanding between Hansar Samui and Universitas 17 Agustus 1945, one of Indonesia leading hospitality university.

This program will allow student who will be a key player in future hospitality sector to gain in-depth knowledge and experience in comprehensive six month-long syllabus consisting of theoretical and practical studies with intensive on the job training. Classes will include English, customer service, daily hotel operations and management as well as practical job training.  Each student will have a one on one mentor/coach with a member of the hotel's management team.

As to ensure only the best applicant join this program, the hotel together with the University has included a long process of interview in finding the right shortlisted candidates for this program.

The six trainees will have a training program with Hansar Samui from January 28 – July 27, 2016. Three of them will do their in depth training program with Front office department and the other three will be with Food & Beverage department.

Indra's vision in introducing this new program, in addition to continue to being  actively involved with theASEAN Economic Community, is to provide immediate and relevant support by producing vocational graduates who are ready to participate locally in the global marketplace, with a competitive advantage
