Hand-Held Guide to Fishing in Sarasota and Charlotte Counties Now Available

Visit Sarasota County
SARASOTA, Fla. – Visit Sarasota County collaborated with the Charlotte Harbor Visitor & Convention Bureau to launch a new, hand-held fishing guide.  The guides are free and available in Sarasota County at the Official Visitor Information centers at 14 N. Lemon Avenue, Sarasota, FL 34236 or via download on our website at www.SarasotaCountyFishing.com.  In Charlotte County, the guide is available at 18500 Murdock Circle, Suite B104, Port Charlotte, FL 33948 or on www.CharlotteHarborTravel.com/fishing.

The original guide was designed and distributed in partnership with Edible Sarasota, a local culinary magazine that celebrates the local food culture of our region.  The guide provides information on salt and fresh water fishing, the types of fish that can be caught both inshore and offshore, popular tackle and bait for this region and information on booking a charter and fishing rules and regulations.  In addition to colorful images, a map and detailed chart on boat and kayak launches, the top spots to fish in both areas is also included.
