Halloween Tricks And Treats At Chiddingstone Castle

Chiddingstone Castle

There is plenty of Halloween fun to be had at Chiddingstone Castle on Thursday 29 October when families can enjoy a Lantern Lit Trick or Treat Halloween childrens activity afternoon between 2 and 5pm.

The historic Castle is the ideal location for an afternoon of themed activities which include a ghostly session of face painting to really help children get in the spirit of things! Children can also take part in themed arts and crafts where they can design and make their own scary mask and trick or treat bag to take home!

As dusk approaches families can enjoy a creepy lantern lit walk through the Castles grounds when children can hunt for yummy treats. Keep your eyes open incase one of the Castles resident ghosts decides to make a surprise appearance!

As well as the activities families can browse the Castles fascinating Japanese, Buddhist, Jacobean, Stuart and Egyptian collections on display, which include such curiosities as a mummified cat and a 12ft crocodile from the Nile River.

In the Castles refurbished Victorian tearoom you can enjoy home made treats and hot and cold drinks and childrens lunch bags are 2.50.
