There will be plenty of spine tingling tricks and treats for the whole family during 'Halloween Fun Week' from Tuesday 28 October to Friday 31 October when everyone can enjoy spooktacular entertainment all day at Tenterden station and join in the 'make and take' activities, including pumpkin carving workshops. All activities are included in the ticket price. Fares £45 for a family, adults £16, Senior £15*, children (3-15) £11. Trains leave Tenterden station at 10:40am, 11:45am, 1:15pm and 2:45pm. (*please note that senior tickets can only be purchased after 12 noon on the day of travel).
As the clock strikes 6.30pm on 31 October and 1 November take a spooky journey from Tenterden to Northiam Station on one of the popular 'Fright Night Trains'. Enjoy scary face painting, 'make and take' activities and pumpkin carving at Tenterden Station from 4:30pm. Once on board, be prepared to be frightened silly with ghostly goings on at stations with a firework display and a few surprises along the way. Every child will also receive a delicious snack box for the all-inclusive ticket price of £16.00. Booking essential.
Families are encouraged to come in fancy dress, the scarier the better!
The Kent & East Sussex Railway is one of the country's finest examples of a rural light railway. The line gently wends its way from Tenterden for ten and a half miles, through the un-spoilt countryside of the Rother Valley, to terminate in the shadow of the magnificent National Trust castle at Bodiam.

Notes to Editors: Tenterden and Northiam are situated on the A28 between Ashford and Hastings. Visitors are encouraged to start their day at Tenterden station and make use of the spacious free car park.
Those wishing to start their journey from Bodiam can park at the Castle for just £3 per day.
The railway's facilities have been carefully designed with disabled, elderly and less mobile visitors in mind. There are parking spaces for Blue Badge holders next to the platform at Tenterden Town and Northiam stations, and accessible toilets at Tenterden, Northiam and Bodiam stations.
The railway is proud to boast a specially designed coach for wheelchair users called 'Petros' which is fitted with ramped access, wide aisles, an accessible toilet and moveable seating.
There is full wheelchair access to the shop and restaurant at Tenterden Town, and the Colonel Stephens Railway Museum has level access with 42”aisles. The Tenterden ticket office is fitted with an induction loop. A 'text-talk' facility is also available from every page of their website.
