Half Term & Halloween Horrors At The Valley, Cornwall

The Valley

There’s something in the woods

There’s something in the woods for every little horror this Halloween and Half Term at The Valley in Cornwall. Join in if you dare.

Half Term

  • Wild Child Bushcraft: den building, fire building and woodland adventure all on the doorstep. The Valley’s Wild Child Bushcraft school, run by qualified Forest School Practitioners, is an awesome day of woodland discovery. Children will learn how to build fires, make shelters and create their very own dream catcher all in the woods surrounding The Valley. It's a one-day course from 9am - 3pm for children aged three and up. Booking essential. Accompanying adults go free and the price per child is £19.50.
  • For Mums: It's your half term too, and Judi Goodchild is the saint in residence. As an ITEC certified reflexologist, masseur and aromatherapist Judi will visit guests’ cottages to bring Mums back to life with wonderfully relaxing treatments.
  • Bugs and beasties: Mark’s Ark is a treasure trove of creepy crawlies and wildlife. He’ll be coming to The Valley with his hands-on show of spiders, giant insects, snakes and even a vulture. Kids can get up close and personal with some of nature’s most exotic creatures.
  • Now you see it: Magician Ed Clarke is a rising star who performs his incredible close up magic around the world. When he’s not on tour he lives close by in Falmouth and as a very special treat he’ll be at The Valley this Half Term.

Halloween

Halloween is set to be a treat. Or is that a trick? The Valley is having a party and you're invited! See what's in store:

  • Tales from the dark side: professional storyteller John Brolly, Tony Blair's double in BAFTA winning Doubletake, will be bringing Halloween to life with ghostly tales by the campfire and plenty of marshmallows to toast.
  • Wicked woods treasure hunt: there's treasure in The Valley's deep dark woods, if you're brave enough to find it!
  • Creepy crafts: get creative with beastly biscuit baking, toffee apples, charm making and potion mixing.
  • Face painting: Tonight Matthew I'm going to be... my favourite monster!
  • Pumpkin carving: Light up The Valley with your very own pumpkin creations.
  • Toasty mulled cider: We haven't forgotten mum and dad, expect plenty of spice infused Cornish mulled cider.
