Acclaimed horseman, entertainer and bush poet, Guy McLean, has ridden back into his home town of Hervey Bay to host an equine extravaganza in June.
Fresh from entertaining fans in North America, Guy is looking forward to showcasing his extraordinary talents to a big local crowd at the Guy McLean Horsemanship Spectacular at Susan River Homestead on Saturday June 22 from 6pm.
Acting General Manager for Tourism Fraser Coast, Robbie Cornelius, said it would be an event not to be missed.
“The Fraser Coast region is very proud of Guy and what he has been able to achieve on the Australian and world stages.
“We are delighted to welcome him home and I am sure local fans will be champing at the bit to experience his unique outback-style show which has thrilled crowds wherever he has travelled,’’ Mr Cornelius said.
Since 1999, Guy and his equine team have performed all over Australia at every major equine event or agricultural show.
In 2002 and 2006 he received the great honour of being named an official Ambassador of the Outback. Through his performances of horsemanship, bush poetry and whip cracking, he has helped keep the traditions of the bush and the true Aussie stockmen alive.
Guy’s long list of achievements include winning the 2012 & 2013 World Colt Starting Championships.
Tickets for the Guy McLean Horsemanship Spectacular cost $35 for adults, $20 for children and $100 for families.
